It’s possible for the sound from the laptop to come out of the projector rather than going through the mixing desk. This is easy to correct.
On the laptop: click the speaker icon, top-right of the screen. It’ll show you that it’s sending sound to the “Epson” projector. Click to change this to “Speaker”.
The signal will now go via the headphone socket, to the mixer.
